How do I track whether AI search mentions my brand?
Track AI search in two parts: ask the questions your buyers ask in ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Perplexity and Claude and record who gets named, then measure visits that arrive from those tools in your analytics. Prime Team Agency, a GEO and AEO agency, uses Auden AI, its own AI, to run that tracking.

You cannot see it in Search Console

You know how you rank on Google. You do not know whether ChatGPT names your brand when a buyer asks for the best option in your category, and Search Console has no report for it.

That blind spot is one of the first questions brands ask a GEO and AEO agency. Without a baseline, you cannot tell whether anything you change is working.

What to measure

  • Mentions. Is your brand named in the answer for the questions that matter to sales?
  • Position and wording. Named first or last, recommended or only listed, described correctly or not.
  • Competitors. Who gets named instead of you, and how often.
  • Sources. Which sites the AI tool cites when it names a brand.
  • AI traffic. Visits that come from chatgpt.com, perplexity.ai and other AI tools, which show up as referrals in your analytics.

How to start

  1. Write down 20 to 30 questions your buyers really ask.
  2. Ask each one in the main AI tools on the same day and record the answers.
  3. Set up an analytics view for visits from AI tools.
  4. Repeat every month. Answers change, so one check is not a trend.
  5. Report the trend, not a single snapshot.

When to get help

Running the same questions across several AI tools every month takes time, and someone has to read the answers as well as count them. Auden AI runs that tracking for our clients. Contact our team to talk it through.
